Nananana makaki’i

The happy-face spider is a very small endemic arachnid that can be found on the undersides of leaves in wet Hawaiian rain forests. Their happy face patterns vary between the four Hawaiian islands they are found on- Hawai’i, Maui, O’ahu & Molokai. These tiny sweeties are super cute but elusive. Fun fact- they can temporarily change color depending on what food they are metabolizing!
