Plant blindness is a real thing. The more we learn about our native plants, the more we understand their critical importance to every ecosystem. Hawaiʻi is dubbed the extinction capital of the world mostly because of the sheer amount of biodiversity loss we have experienced in our plant populations. Letʻs show our plants the love that they deserve, they literally create the air that we breathe!
